The Influence of Directions in Vastu Shastra Tips-
The study of Vastu Shastra reveals that if the southwest direction (Nairitya) of a place is open or light, stability is not maintained there. If the southwest direction of a shop, house, or factory is defective, instability persists in business and life. In such places, work-related problems such as lack of goods, machine breakdowns, workers not arriving, or strikes often occur.

Sometimes, even if the southwest direction is defective, some people's lives remain stable due to their powerful astrological influences. If their planetary positions are also favorable, stability remains in their life. Additionally, if the Vastu defects of the southwest direction are corrected, improvements in life can be expected.
If there are planetary defects in the birth chart and the southwest direction is also defective, it leads to an unfavorable time. Such places often experience unrest, chronic diseases, debt, and accidents. Remedies for this direction’s defects include filling pits, expanding constructions, and widening walls. The stability of this direction can also be achieved by filling it with heavy objects, and if there is open space outside, large trees can be planted.
According to Vastu, placing the kitchen in the southeast direction is most suitable. This placement keeps the home peaceful and reduces obstacles. The dining room is best placed in the west, as it leads to contentment and happiness in the house.
The eastern direction is considered most suitable for bathrooms, while toilets should be constructed in the west or south direction. Additionally, placing water sources or fountains near rooms can reduce the negative ions in the air.
Thus, by understanding the influence of directions in Vastu Shastra, balance and peace can be brought into life.
Important Aspects of Vastu Shastra:
For commercial spaces, the "Simhmukhi" (wide at the front and narrow at the back) and for residential spaces, the "Gaaymukhi" (narrow at the front and wide at the back) sites are considered auspicious. The Peepal tree is inauspicious in the east direction but auspicious in the west.
A house elongated from east to west is called "Surya Vedi" and from north to south, it is called "Chandra Vedi." Chandra Vedi houses are considered auspicious and lead to financial growth.
Keeping cows in the house for a day and night purifies the land.
Moving into a new home during the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) leads to happiness, while moving in during Krishna Paksha (waning moon) invites fear of theft and robbers.
Construction should not be done in the months of Chaitra, Jyeshtha, Ashadh, Bhadrapad, Ashvin, Kartik, and Magh, and on the dates of Pratipada, Chaturthi, Ashtami, Navami, Chaturdashi, and Amavasya, as well as on Sundays and Tuesdays.
Twin houses should not be built.
In new houses, bricks, iron, stones, clay, and wood should be new; the use of old materials is harmful.
The foundation stone should be placed in the southeast direction and circumambulated (with the right hand) during construction. When laying the foundation, one should remember the Pole Star (Dhruv Tara), and it should not be done at noon, midnight, or twilight.
Copper pot, pure silver serpent, and other worship materials are used during the foundation ceremony to bring prosperity.
If a road is in front of the house, peace is lacking inside. In such cases, donating 8 kilograms of black urad on one's birthday brings peace.
It is harmful if the shadow of a tree or any object falls on the house between 9 AM and 3 PM.
If there is an obstruction or tree in front of the main entrance, it may be inauspicious, but if the tree is at twice the height of the house and at a proper distance, there is no defect.
The central space of the house (Brahmasthan) should not have any walls, stairs, or impure objects.
Pictures of war, crying people, or angry individuals should not be placed in the house as they are inauspicious.
If the house violates Vastu rules, it can lead to mental stress, financial loss, and physical ailments.
There should be minimal sunlight entering the house after noon.
Placing a copper plate or Shri Yantra at the main entrance brings positive energy into the house.
Placing swastika, Shri, and Om symbols outside the house brings peace and happiness.
Keeping two Shiva Lingas, three Ganesh idols, two conchs, a Sun idol, Goddess idols, Gomati Chakra, and Shaligram in the prayer room leads to disturbance. Only small idols should be kept in the house; larger ones should be placed in temples.
Vastu Remedies:
A Swastika sign made with vermilion above the main door should be placed.
Reciting the Ramcharitmanas nine times in the house can eliminate Vastu defects.
